Stand Up For Kids 

Holiday Party

Tis the season to give back! Civic Studios attended Stand Up For Kids annual holiday party and documented the event via photo and video. Setting up a studio by their Christmas tree, Civic Studios co-founders Bruce Winston and Valarie Biondi volunteered their time and took photos of their guests opening presents. It was definitely a joyous event!

Fall Showcase

Time to celebrate! Civic Studios' fall program at Gately Park wrapped with a celebration at After School Matters' facility at Gately Park. Civic Studios teens featured their talk-show "Lately at Gately" and enjoyed performances from FMC Dance Crew, Gately Visual Arts, and Gately Track and Horticulture Programs.

Remote Learning
Success Panel

Co-Founders Bruce Winston and Valarie Biondi spoke alongside the founders of Truestar Media and TA98 to express their experience with remote learning. As a program provider of After School Matters - Bruce and Valarie created and managed a successful remote summer program with 30 high school students for 6 weeks. They shared successful examples and tips on how to engage students remotely.

Civic Studios had the pleasure of interviewing Chicago mural artist Barrett Keithley, Co-Founder of Paint the City, and featuring him on Episode 3 of The Peace and Love Show. The episode titled, “Unity of the Arts” follows four Chicago artists as they share their stories about how they are spreading peace and love in the community.
