"The Phoenix Headline" News Series
(Fall 2021)

After the creation of The Studio at IHSCA, teens in the Civic Studios' after-school program launched Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy's very own news-broadcast series, The Phoenix Headline. The series tells the story of Instituto Del Progreso Latino and follows IHSCA high-school on its journey to create the most robust and engaging experience for students.

Instituto Del Progreso Latino and Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy partnered with Civic Studios to launch "The Studio at IHSCA", IHSCA's very own creative studio. As their mission is inspire and empower Latino immigrants and their families through education, students of IHSCA worked with Civic Studios to help get the studio up and running and develop a program for teens to work hands-on in production, while making an impact in the Pilsen community.
